HPS-1000 High Performance Droplight System

HPS-1000 Droplight Features Include:
  • A 1,000 watt high pressure Sodium lamp provides eight times the light output and lasts up to ten times longer than conventional incandescent lamps.
  • The HPS-1000 System is endorsed by all major reactor manufacturers as the top choice for lighting the spent fuel pool, refuel pool and reactor vessel.
  • A protective quartz envelope surrounds the bulb’s sodium tube and provides a thermal barrier. This allows the light to go from air into water while in operation without damage.
  • The HPS-1000 Droplight System is available with two reflector configurations: an axial reflector for focusing light downward and a radial reflector for right-angle reflection plus a cable reel.
